What does one do when their Slurpee is gone? Well after relieving themselves that is… Why they check out some Otaku Senshi of course! Duh, it’s like the only logical choice. :: makes a face ::
As I was taking a look at some of the characters, a few that look like they were done by people who only know that DIC version of the show I got to thinking (dangerous isn’t it? Thinking that is) and decided that I hadn’t enough on my plate already. I was going to dust off MY Otaku Senshi and bring them out to play!
I think it was during my freshman year of high school that I started working on them. I wrote this horrendous story about a girl named Alexandra who was called Alex by everyone else and she was going to be Sailor Sapphire. Anyway it didn’t take me long to create my own team of Sailor Gemstones. I hadn’t seen it done anywhere else and I want a little bit of originality at the time. I had a huge team made up, a complex past, cool powers, and even the sparkley transformation sequences that all magical girl stories must have! Sparkle sparkle!
Then… I realized, fudge, gurlpages.com had totally revamped their site and gotten rid of the free webpages where my work was stored. The I also remembered that my old computer was in a flood at my Dad’s house and the OS is toast so I doubt it’ll work at all. :: grumble :: Adding more salt to the wound is the fact that the only paper copies of anything I can find are at my Dad’s and the only thing they half are poor copys of Pearl and Jade’s profiles. Along with mini-profiles for all the Gem Knights I created. Yeah I went all out as you can see.
So..what’s a girl whose bored out of her mind to do? Why see how much of the story she can remember and fill in the blanks! I’ve checked the sites (I only found one) and from what I can recall our characters have absolutely no similarities except for two things.
1. Some of the gems we chose are the same
2. In some of the henshion phrases of her characters they include the word ‘gemstone’
That’s it! So I’m in the clear! Whee! Now I’m just working on remembering the plot, all the characters, transformations, powers, what not. I don’t suppose anyone I knew way back then has any recollection or any paperwork dealing with the story? Hmm? Can’t blame a girl for trying ya know.
So far for cast of characters I have the following… I know I’m missing someone though cause both teams are supposed to be even. I’ve also listed a thing or two that I remember for the character. For those that do remember some of this stuff I changed a little bit of Aquamarine and Garnet’s pasts right away. I originally had them be only six months apart age wise, being born on each others half birthdays but then I thought, wait that wouldn’t work out would it… So! As a result they are half sisters, still born on the half birthdays. They never knew their Dad as he tends to sleep around with various other women. Whee…
Sailor Gemstones (This team is my equivalent of the Inner Senshi)
Sailorsapphire – It’s the girl that started the entire thing!
Sailortopaz – The track star
Sailoremerald – One of the smarter ones
Sailorgarnet – Aquamarine’s older half sister by six months, the more serious of the two (Think Elizabeth only a bit darker)
Sailoraquamarine – Garnet’s younger half sister by six months, the party girl (Think Jessica only not as vindictive)
Sailoramethyst – Rich girl with a huge love for martial arts, at one point I had her marrying Kou Seiya… I’m so weird!
Sailordiamond – The youngest in the group, her powers mostly just deal with defense
Garnet Knight – Gah he needs a new name, this is Sapphire’s fraternal twin from the past and Garnet’s fiancée in the past as well. He’s like Tuxedo Kamen but does more then fling roses and spout cheesy lines (hey I love the guy but those lines can be cheesy!)
Sailor Gemstars (This team is my equivalent of the Outer Senshi)
Sailoronyx – An American who is kidnapped and brainwashed
Sailorruby – Onyx’s teammate who feels extremely guilty about the other girl being kidnapped, they are best friends and consider each other as close as siblings, they do NOT have the same kind of relationship as Haruka and Michiru
Sailormoonstone – Hoity toity rich girl from France, was the last of the Senshi (on any of my teams that is) to fall, having been on the Moon and save…that is until the fight came to the Moon of course.
Sailorperidot – She’s from the future, I only stuck her in cause its my birthstone. But if I can’t remember her significance to the story, or the missing member of the Gemstone’s, then I’m just going to get rid of her. Back into fan creation oblivion.
Sailorjade – transfer student from England, older twin, book worm
Sailorpearl – transfer student from England, younger twin, likes sports
Sailortanzanite – oldest child in a two child family who becomes withdrawn, dark, and slightly disturbed due to her parents marital relationship (ie they do nothing but fight), she turns away from the world and even her own guardian cat Hecate tries to keep her from teaming up with any of the other Senshi
Sailorcitrine – I can’t recall much about her… I know her name was Kazeko, she liked yellow, and enjoyed basketball and photography.
Guardian Cats:
Hecate – This is Sailortanzanite’s cat and she isn’t the friendliest of felines, she is named after the Greek Goddess of hidden wisdom, change, and darkness (aka Queen of the Witches), she’s a calico with a white star on her forehead
Eos – This is Sailorsapphire’s cat, originally when I was only using the NA names she was known as Ginger (I think) but I like the new name better, she’s named after the Greek Goddess of the dawn and sister to Selene Goddess of the Moon, a brown ginger furred cat with a white star on her forehead
And that’s all I have right now… I’m working on an empty stomach so I need to make dinner. Then I’m going to enjoy some quality time with the Sims… It’s been awhile since I played and I got some new little toys for them today so I want to try them out.
