Since
mippa seemed curious ( :: hugs Mippa for being so sweet :: ) I figured I might as well stick the news up on here, even though I know for certian that it will make me breakdown into tears like an infant.
As you all know I have been evicted from my apartment because my landlord does not want to fix any of the problems. I've been given thirty days and have to be out by August 1st. I have two and a half weeks.
Some of you also know that I'd been in contact with a young woman by the name of Andrea about the possibility of being her roommate. Yesterday I went over to the apartment and we talked for almost two hours without realizing it. She's really awesome, really nice, and supper sweet. The apartment is absolutly gorgeous. The deal was I would pay $325 and half the utilities. The rent for the apartment is only $725 and utilities, which honestly in the area I'm in is a little amazing. At lest for the kind of apartment it is.
So up until 12:30pm today I had found a new home. Then on my break I receive a voice mail from Andrea stating that because the landlord would not allow us to have a six month lease, as opposed to a year, that she would not be staying at the apartment. I immediatly broke down in the break room, in front of my co-workers which was very embaressing, then called my dad who suggested I call Andrea back and ask her if we could do the year lease then when she was ready to move out I would go and find another roommate. Unfortunatly Andrea informed me that she has found another apartment.
I am not welcome to move back home. My father does not want me to move to Lockport (which has the only apartments I can afford) because he says that it is to far from work and because his girlfriend Jullya has convinced him (despite the fact that she has NOT lived in Lockport for well over ten years) that the area is full of drug dealers and violence and he will not change his mind. Some of you might think this is just him trying to control my life some more but you know what? He pays the payments on my car because I don't make enough money to do that. If I move to Lockport he can take away the car. And he would do that.
So here is my dilema. I have fallen in love with this apartment(which is actually the entire first floor of a house). The bedrooms are somewhat small but it has so many other benifits....
* huge kitchen with loads of cabinate space
* flowing living room and family room (I think that's right term)
* free cable (the people who live upstairs have wired the entire building)
* a non-drooling frige
* a bigger bathroom
* a landlord who fixes things
* two porches
* you can decorate any way that you want as long as it can be painted over
* ALL animals (except mice) are allowed
* the upstairs neighbors can not hear you
* if you were to have a gentleman caller the other bedroom can not hear you (I'm just sayin!)
Right now I'm clawing my brain to think of who would want to be roommates with me. I have a co-worker who might but she is helping out her Mother who is on disability.
mkiero has a son and would need a three bedroom apartment or one with bigger bedrooms.
kayla_mondragon claims to not have enough money.
autumnal_hedge has school ties in Wisconsin and will be spending a semester in England.
mippa will be going to Japan for a year.
:: sighs ::
I'm going to try and talk to Mary Kay (the woman at work) and
kayla_mondragon because rent wouldn't really be that bad. Hell I wouldn't even mind having the smallest bedroom!
I'm at a lose. I don't know what to do or were to turn. It just seems like my life hasn't been going right in a long time. Some of it seems like small things that should matter, like my Uncle Jeff not getting to see the Fantastic Four with me opening night because his job changed his schedual at a moment notice (after giving him time off several months in advance)... But at the rate I'm going I just know something is going to try and ruin this weekend. Like my Aunt Mary trying to stick her nose into my plans again (see previous post on 12 July 2005 for more information) or my Grandpa telling me that it's going to be to late for me to be out and that I can't go to the book release party. Believe me they have done this.
