Coworkers and Eddie

I’m exhausted from work… I have to be there at 7:15am because I’ve got the opening shift for summer camp and then I’m supposed to leave at 5pm at the latest but I’ve been leaving closer to 6pm because parents are getting later and later in picking up their children and Gayle doesn’t want to many school age kids mixing it up with the preschoolers, which is were they go a the end of the day if I’m not closing in summer camp like I’ll be doing tomorrow and Friday of this week and next.
See we hired two summer camp teachers but one of them never seems to be there. She just graduated college and is off on lots of interviews. Supposedly... I also know that she’s out drinking a lot and talks to me about it, at lest she did until I told her I didn’t know what she was talking about since I hardly ever drink. She’s also been caught in several different lies but then just uses more lies to cover for herself.
On top of all that she’s skinny as a rail and is upset because she can’t loose two pounds. She’s like one of those people who wear the sizes 1-3 and then throw hissy fits because their pants are suddenly skin tight. mkiero and others but now with her wearing these skimpy shorts and tiny tank tops (which are against the dress code but she gets away with it) and being able to do well in sports…frankly I feel really really tiny and insignificant next to her. I hate it.
At lest Beth is coming back and will be working summer camp… I’ve missed her since she’s run off to work in a school system. However she won’t be back until July since she is currently in Ireland. Beth will put her in her place though and the girl won’t know what hit her. Neither will the kids who seem to think I’m there to be their personal maid… I adore Beth, she rocks.
Now on to much more interesting things to talk about… Like… Eddie!
I got a call from Alicia today and there he is yammering away in the background talking about some bird that’s eating a worm. I love that boy, he’s just so cute! So naturally I’ve got to talk to the kid and the first thing out of his mouth was him asking for me to come over. I told him he needed to come over here and we’d go play on the playground. There is one near me that has a train that was created for climbing all over… I know he’ll love it.
Then he starts telling me that the bird took the worm and he’s trying to get me to look at the worm. Ed still doesn’t understand that you can’t show people things with the phone. I remember when he tried to show me the Christmas tree and his television. It’s adorable though! So so so so cute! Cute times infinity!
I’ve got this one voice mail from Alicia that I keep on my phone even though it doesn’t have any important info on it or anything like that. I don’t even keep it on there because it’s from her. I keep it on the phone because of Eddie in the background. I don’t know what Alicia is talking about and since it’s nothing important I don’t really care. But.. Through the entire call in the background you can hear him yelling…
“I wanna talk to Auntie Erin!” and “I wanna talk!”
