Yesterday was...interesting... I've never been called a bitch on Christmas and never by a thirteen year old girl.
Anyway... Here's what I received this Christmas...
From the kids and families at work:
- $25 Khol's gift card w/ Christmas card of Anna and her sister Grace (Anna is the one in the Infant room, Grace is in Preschool)
- $25 Target gift card from Josie (along with what has to be the most adorable picture of my little friend that I've ever seen!)
- $30 and a tin of candy cane flavored hot chocolate from Madeleine and her parents
- $25 Best Buy card from John and his family
- $40 Best Buy card from Neil and his family
- Home made cookies and a Christmas plate from Ryan and his family
_ Mary Kay hand lotion from Alex and his family
- Mary Kay hand lotion, an ornament with a picture of Nicholas and his brother Alex (These are my Assistant Directors children, not related to the other Alex in the infant room) along with a mix to make pumpkin maple cheeseballs
- Ghirardelli hot chocolate, a package of Hershey Kiss Kissables, a Christmas mug, and Cephotil hand lotion from Luke and his family
From Coworkers:
- Gayle, the assistant director, turned out to be my Secret Santa at work and as the final "big" gift she gave me a Hallmark ornament with Harry on his Nimbus broomstick reaching for the snitch
- Kelly Bailey from Preschool One gave me a new pen. It's an R.S.V.P. pen that's pink(bleh!) but what she did was use special tape, stamps, and micro beads to make it look awesome...plus I can always take out the pink ink and put in a color I do like.
- Nasreen gave me a cheesecake... Yes a cheesecake. I'm afraid.
From Jullya and the kids:
- A blender, chocolate malts and virgin pina colada's here I come!
- Courtney gave me a baking set that is for children 6yrs and up... All the stuff is tiny copies of the real stuff that I already own... See physically she's 13yrs old...emotionally and mentally no one really knows...but it's the thought that counts.
From Colin:
- A beautiful diamond and emerald bracelet that is sterling silver under 18K gold...I'm still amazed!
From Grandpa and Grandma:
- Check for $50
From Dad:
- A crockpot, I can't wait to make beef stew!
- An iPod shuffle who I have named Hakkai... :: drools :: Mmm...Hakkai...
- A National Geographic Candy lab that will let me make bubble gum, marshmallows, and various other things
- A collection of inexpensive watercolors and chalks to use with the school age kids at work
- $75 gift certificate to Betsy's which is my local yarn store, so many ideas are dancing in my head now...
- The Polar Express gift set which includes the book, a CD of the story and a tape, along with the bell
- A CO2 detector
- Candy and more candy!
Pretty good ne?
