After Hours Fun

Well a few good things actually did happen today...much to my surprise. I managed to get my things back from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mkiero and now have mippa's graduation present. Now I just need to dig through my boxes as I haven't completely unpacked and find the shirt that I want to give her and then a few other items and I'm all set. Unfortunatly I don't have the money at the moment to send an overseas care package but my plan is to pick up things for her over a period of time and set it aside then mail it to her 'round Christmas time. Her graduation present will be incredibly late but her Christmas present will be on time! That's something right?
Another good thing was that I now finally have a Flora doll (Flora is my favorite character in the Winx Club show for all of you reading this and going...duh what's that?). It's a second season doll, it would have to be since her pixie Chatta comes with her. She doesn't have any clothes with her other than her fairy outfit but that's okay I think I'm gonna try some Skipper or Barbie fashions on her. She also comes with a cell phone that has Stella's picture on it, a flower shaped purse, what looks to be an extra set of yellow earrings (or perhaps they are braclets). There is also a flowered plant in a pot, a green hair brush, and one of those cards that looks like the pictures moving when you move it sideways. I'm half tempted to take her out of the box and fix her hair... But at the same time I want to leave her in there.
Overall I like the doll, her hair is a mess in the package but that is easy to fix. She has one weird eyelash that is comming out of her eye above all the other lashes...which looks really strange, and her eyes are a bit to squashed togeather. And honestly I never really agreed with her bonding with Chatta as a pixie though I suppose having the Pixie of Chatter around might help Flora to develop her personality a bit more. Come out of her shell...lest I think she's hiding a bit of herself. But perhaps that's just me.
I'm amused because the back of the bock says 'Icy of Winx Club' and 'Brandon of Winx Club'. Just the idea of Icy being a member of the Winx Club is silly...she's a Witch (though I prefer Darcy) and since this is a Second Season doll (which as stated it does have the pixie so what else would it be) then why is he still called Brandon? However what is most amusing is the way that Flora has her left hand. If you don't take a close look at the package then it appears she is flicking us off. So un-Flora like!
Oooh that reminds me...mippa what, if any, Techna dolls do you have?
