May. 19th, 2005 09:43 pmThe weather matches my mood perfectly today. It’s humid and all day you could see the moisture in the air, even after the big thunderstorm we had this afternoon. :: shivers :: Stupid weather’s been making me have breathing problems today as well…messing with my asthma and my inhaler seems to be on the fritz only working half the time. I’m going to have to get a refill.
So I went job hunting today. Got turned down at nearly every place I went. Did get an application for the Downer’s Grove library and one from a book store right down the street from the library which will need some help during the summer. I’ll return those applications on Saturday and at the same time pre-purchase my copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. They bookstore will be having a party with a costume contest, someone doing fortune telling and a couple of other things. Also anyone who goes to get their book there pays for it before the midnight release so that no one will have to stand in line and wait for a check to clear or someone to count out the right change.
I’m getting really annoyed with the job hunting though. The hours that the shops are open don’t work with the hours that I work already. But here’s the biggest annoyance. Every frelling place I went into today thought I was fifteen or younger. I was constantly asked what year in school I was and how was I even going to get to the job.
:: sighs ::
At lest tomorrow is Friday… After work I’m getting together with Dawn and our friend Brock to go see the new Star Wars movie. Hope it’s worth it…
