Woah! An actual update! :: faints ::
Jan. 9th, 2005 09:56 pmIt’s been quite awhile since I’ve last written, even though I know I promised a longer entry, but I’ve been having problems deciding what to write about. At first I wanted to write about how my sister called my Dad on Christmas night and made him look like he was ten years older due to her rather volatile personality and constant abuse. I mean come on…who calls their father on Christmas evening and says “Fuck you”? Then I thought about writing an entry about Jullya and about how sick of her I am…I still can’t wrap my brain around the reason Dad’s dating her. Granted I don’t want him to be alone but I can’t stand him dating her either. Her children are manipulative and rude and she simply tries to hard. Each time they use words like ‘sweetie’ or ‘honey’ to each other I have the same reaction I would to fingernails on a chalkboard.
What a negative outlook ne?
I have to admit that things aren’t all that bad though. I’m finished with school for the moment (unless I decide to take this administrations course), I might be looking at a promotion at work and I’ve made a new friend!
I like making new friends, especially when they don’t tell me to get lost after talking with me for only ten minutes. Apparently I can be rather annoying…but can I help it if I constantly seem to be on a sugar high? Hmm…now where did I put that pixie stick…
Anywho! His name is Ricky and he reminds me of Ray from Ghostbusters. :: ducks :: I met him at my schools Intervarsity meetings and for some unknown reason he seems to enjoy talking to me. Hey there’s got to be some reason we talk for at lest an hour each time on the phone! And we never seem to have a set topic, just jump around and talk about nothing, kind of like Seinfeld I suppose but that’s cool cause it’s so easy to talk to him. I’ve been finding that I’m comfortable talking to him about stuff that I would be reluctant to talk to others about, such as my hospitalization. Plus it makes me feel really special to have someone calling the house to talk to me, which really isn’t a common thing.
:: chuckles :: I gave him the link to this journal…I bet his face is red.. He has trouble taking a compliment. We’ll have to work on that.
Well I’m off to watch some more Saiyûki…fifty episodes and I’m only at number fifteen. That’s what I get for watching all of Ceres and the first box set of Marmalade Boy. Mmm..Marmalade Boy…I love that series! I read all eight manga last night at the bookstore and I know Ginta doesn’t get the girl he originally set out for but I was totally rooting for him. There’s just something about guys with dark hair and bright smiles that is just so… Delicious.
